The Hempstead House
Sands Point Preserve
127 Middletown Road
Port Washington, NY 11050

Former home of Daniel and Florence Guggenheim in 1917, The Hempstead House is an architectural masterpiece with a magnificent array of event and entertaining spaces. Inside the Entry Foyer, one glimpse of the imposing vaulted ceiling stirs the imagination of a grand lifestyle that once existed on this Gold Coast estate. The sunken Palm Court is a series of glorious archways and wrought iron with a one-of-kind antique fountain at its center. The estate's Billiard Room is composed of polished floor-to-ceiling carved oak woodworking recovered from a 17th century Spanish palace. The restored Hempstead House sits on the grounds of the breathtaking Sands Point Preserve, which is now operated by the Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums. The house and grounds combine for a social event venue unlike any other, a truly grand and magical location for weddings and private events.

Regal Caterers' unsurpassed elegance and magnificent glatt kosher cuisine bring further enrichment to this magical venue. Regal Caterers is certified glatt kosher under Kof-K supervision, one of the foremost Kosher certification agencies in the United States.
